How film exposure is a relationship of three settings

Aperture, shutter time, and film sensitivity set exposure together, and each changes the picture.

From the opening

Film exposure is the light the emulsion is given, and the camera sets it by aperture, shutter time, and the film's sensitivity acting together. Change one for the sake of the picture and another has to move if that same exposure is supposed to remain. The opening covers three settings, one exposure, depth traded against motion, and where reciprocity stops holding.
