Why particle board fears water

Particle board is chips and interior resin, so water swells the chips and breaks the bond.

When the purchase is complete, return to the original window. It will refresh.

From the opening

Particle board is small wood particles mixed with resin and pressed into a sheet, without a continuous grain running through it. Water soaks the particles, they swell, and the resin that stuck them, often an interior urea glue, loses its hold as the chips push apart. The opening covers chips swell and stay swollen, interior resin lets go when wet, and raw edges drink first.

The rest of the brief — the later sections and the reading notes — opens after Stripe confirms payment.
